Removing Japanese Knotweed is extremely diffcult. Each Japanese Knotweed plant has numerous, independent root systems and can re-grow from any plant fragments. Removal needs to be undertaken by a trained professional using specialist equipment and chemicals.
And once removed, due to it's ability to spread and grow rampantly, Japanese Knotweed becomes a controlled waste. So again, there are laws and regulations regarding its disposal.
