Landscaping Tips For October:
October has arrived and no doubt, you can see the winter's weather is starting to draw in. With this change in climate and weather, the emphasis of our landscaping work changes.
October is the best time of year to replace or replant or to take on any planting projects that were planned throughout the year once the soil has been prepared, rotivated and compost added and the same goes for laying new turf.
This is also the best time to trim any late flowering shrubs and trees as long as no cold snaps have been forcast.
Also in October we do all our leaf clearing, each property gets about three visits in october just for clearing leaves depending on the tree type, this helps to keep drains and kerb edges clear to help reduce the risk of flooding.
Grass will still need cutting in october but as the temperature starts to drop the growth will start to slow.
Any Tenant should start to think about the colder winter months and should take on their health and saftey responsabilities, so provisions for grit bins should be made (we can fit and supply grit bins.)
